Receiving the full power of The Holy Spirit.

The word "Anoint" means to rub with oil. It is a sacred touch.

God sent the Holy Spirit as His sacred touch on our life.

Acts 10:38 says

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."

God's will for your life is to be filled with His presence and His power, which is the Holy Spirit. This precious part of the Trinity empowers you to go about doing good, healing all who are sick and oppressed of the devil.

2 Corinthians 1:21 says

"Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,"

The power of His Spirit is not only His sacred touch on you, but the power of the Spirit also establishes us in God and builds us up in God.

When you receive the full power of the Spirit, this means that you are empowered for the work of the ministry. Whether your job is to work in the Church or you have a job outside of the Church, you have still been called to reach the lost, pray for the sick and do greater works than Jesus did.

And the work that Jesus calls us to is the most fulfilling, exciting work you will ever do.

I want to encourage you today to receive the outpouring of the Spirit. Receiving the outpouring of the Spirit means to receive an outflow from God.

As you get into your prayer closet, I encourage you to read and pray through the Word. Ask the Holy Spirit to pour out of His fullness and presence into your life.

The Holy Spirit will descend upon you and Acts 1:8 says

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Some Scriptures to help you in prayer:

"For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:5

"Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38

"As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." Matthew 3:11

"And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance." Acts 2:4
